The Glyn MacDonald Trio spare not a wayward note on their journey through realms of stage, studio, composition and beyond.
Having collectively performed with jazz greats such as James Morrison, Terrell Stafford, Gary Bartz, Harry Connick Jr. and Jamie Ohlers, the musical pedigree of their work continues to be recognised by peers, industry and audiences alike.
Consisting of Sam Anning/Pete Jeavons (bass), Michael Perkins (drums) and Glyn MacDonald (piano) the Glyn MacDonald Trio draws influence from diverse ends of the musical spectrum. From classical through to Latin, and coupled with a knack for infectious toe-tappin’ swing, their collective works rest comfortably on a bed of groove-oriented originality.
Should the need arise for a larger ensemble, the members of this trio have played with, and have access to, the best musicians in Perth. On request, an ensemble ranging from a vocal quartet to a 21-piece show band can be formed to make any function an unforgettable success.
